Work work work!Tuesday 29 August 2006Hey there RAR! I have just been working a lot this past month. I have been doing some night and weekend shifts too at work to earn some extra dollars to pay off those tax bills from last year! If I keep it up for another month I could almost be completey debt free. How great is that! Then its time to start saving more money for my next big buy! What is it going to be! May I mention that if you are out at McArther Square down Campbelltown way stop at a my mate Don's cafe. Its called Miami Ice Cafe. The coffee is great. And if you are a smoker, its the only cafe at the square that you are allowed to smoke at so take a mental note with that one! Let him know that Zuggs sent you and me might be inclined to give you a discount :P It appears that hisbusiness there is going well so good on you Don for that one!
Zaf and Zuggs at Don's new Cafe on Thursday Night. Nothing much else is happening at the moment. Spent a few nights at the Roxy it isnt a bad place as long as you done venture too far inside the 'club' area where all the more 'fully sic' crowd hang he he. The beer garden is tops, and will grow with greater populatiry once the summer months come out. Speaking of summer, WOOHOO! I just cant wait. I want to go on more rides this year. I want to spend more time at the beach. And I finally want to get out and about and go treking through the bush somewhere this summer. Whoever is game let me know. I plan to get some pretty awesome shots and views from where we go. I am excited! Happy Birthday Courtney Cowgirl I hope you enjoyed your birthday! I dont think that we will even meet but none the less its good to hear you are still kind of enjoying yourself! RAR RAR RAR! And at the moment, that is all I have to say about that. * Zuggs salutes. Rodger. Wilco. Out! Zuggs is always out there... Keep on Rar'in; Zuggs is back in town!Sunday 06 August 2006Hello world! I am still alive! Yes that's right. Zuggs is back. It has been quite a while since I blogged on but I have found some time this evening to update my audience about my past 3 months; the wonderful, disappointing, hurting, spontaneous, corrupt, exciting but different! Let me start off with sharing to the world that I am no longer a Woolworth's Limited Employee. I resigned early June 2006. No more hassles. No more shelves. No more packing. I have served my time. It was time to get out there and find a job that I wanted; not just another job to pay the bills (you know how many I have had in the last financial year!). That is what I did. I am now employed as an IT Analyst at a company called NSW Businesslink, a shared services company that deals with many government departments. I really enjoy myself there, work that is directly related to my uni degree. It's a big step up from Woolworth's, and heading in the right direction to what I aspire to be! Wonderful! Although Woolworth's wasn't one of the greatest company's I have worked for, I will miss the Night Fill crew who I spent my evenings and early mornings with. Namely the guys from alse 5; Sammy, Nitin, Andrew, Waheid! Thank's guys for keeping me sane! And thanks for ensuring I didn't spend that extra 3 minutes on my break. Can you believe that! Ha! I spent my 22nd with my best mate Zaf, Brebner and some mates from work at the local for a few Bday drinks. Nothing special, but I needed to get out of the house. I needed to cheer myself up a bit from recent changes. Isn't strange how life can be so rewarding, but at the same time so disappointing and hurtful. But without it, then life would be pretty dull. Thanks for all the birthday present's! Cheers to you all. Believe it or not, Zaf, Breb and I started to take some Latin Dancing classes. It's different I guess, but different in a good way. No we're still straight, I just needed to do something spontaneous! Those old ladies really get excited! Just make sure you follow their lead! The guys hung around for the first few lessons but now I have solidered on as a lone ranger with pending excuses of 'tiredness' and 'lack of petrol money' etc. It's alright guys, no hard feelings. And there is a very strange twist to all this dancing, only one of you know it. How it happened, no one will ever know why? Bizarre! Did I mention I spent a week in China with the Australian Army Cadets? Its a very different place than Australia. We are so lucky to live in this country. We take life for granted. Once you have seen the other side its hard to imagine Sydney being a place like Beijing. Did you know that my Great grand father (The Chong family) came to Australia from China in the 1800's for the Gold Rush. A bit of family history. Can you see the Chinese in me? I am working on uploading some photos on another web site. You can go check out some of the shots and reports there: http://www.aacbs.org. I will put some more relevant shots in my photo album shortly.

Jay standing in front of one of the Temples in the Forbidden City, Beijing, China, 2006. The soccer season is finally over! That's right, we didn't make the semis. Then again, we didn't come last either! I might have to find another team to play for next year maybe with a few more mates. I have had a bad run of luck over recent times with Chipping Norton Soccer Club. :P Quite corrupt indeed! If you are ever in the mood for some good fish and chips, there is a great little place for that snack in the city of Camden, South West Sydney. It has that country town feel and service. The grilled fish there was awesome! Please go and try it! Its a small take away shop on the northern side of the main road of Camden. Yet again I made it to another one of Anita's Birthday Parties, this time her 21st! Happy birthday you! This time I actually saw the party since I was able to get there before 12am! That jumping castle was a good idea. Not so good with alcohol! Classic.
Drunk in the Jumping Castle... This month will be extra busy as I am covering some night shifts at my new job so I plan to be working almost every day. I need some extra dollars to pay off my tax bill from last year, all those HECS back payments have come back to haunt me! But if you are free, give me a buzz and let me know. Maybe we can catch up and have a drink, play some poker, or King of beers (just don't fall asleep on the toilet, drunk, with your pants down)! Zuggs is always out there. |
